Conversation with Marty Meade (2023)

While recently visiting San Francisco and the studio of Artist / Art Therapist Marty Meade, I had the chance to speak with her about her process and thoughts about her career. In 1979, Artist Takao Tanabe of the Visual Arts Department at the Banff Centre invited Marty there to teach a stained glass workshop. I was accepted into the course which served as an introduction to my preoccupation with glass and its properties. Since that time, Marty has remained a mentor to my process and development. It was super that Daniel and I had the opportunity to visit Marty, Bud, and their family in early May.
