While enrolled in the hot glass program at ACA, I was inspired to replicate this archival image to demonstrate the same spirit of adventure that I found there.
Left: From Canadian Glass 1825-1925, Gerald Stevens, Coles Publishing Company, Toronto, 1979. | This picture exhibits the ‘joie de vivre’ which was a characteristic of the French-Canadian glass blower. These three experts glass blowers were part of the Montreal personnel who were “loaned” to Wallaceburg and who later returned to Montréal. Left to right: Albany Leonard, Arthur Leonard and Ovilla Brodeur.
