The wood stove at Sculpture Space is incredible. It is a colossus object that looks like nothing else on earth. It is the source of heat for the whole studio, the beating heart that allows residents to carry on. When we arrived, in early December, Sylvia de Swann showed us the cords of wood outside and said, “Use as much as you need”. We did. DHD
